A recent purchase triggered this idea. I wanted to buy a high-end TV and so spent a considerable time online researching the product. From tracking facebook likes to price and feature comparisons I did what tech savvy online shoppers the world over do. That done I went into the local electronics retailer to get a feel of it. What happened? Absolutely nothing. Nobody recognized me. I was patronized by a salesman who knew less than me about the TV.
