I am an IIT Madras (MS in Computer Science and Engineering), and IIM Bangalore (Entrepreneurship) graduate with about 10+ years of experience in smart product building using Artificial Intelligence across domains like internet, audio and multimedia, healthcare, retail, bank etc, with MNCs - Oracle and Satyam.
I have a number of publications in leading conferences in the mentioned areas. In my last full-time job, I was heading the product development group as Assistant Vice President at Decidyn. At present, I have my own startup (MyD) which deals with understanding patterns in social data on internet. Apart from technology, I also have an artistic inclination. I am coming up with my first book (fiction), which is under final review before print. I also write articles - about business and technology as well as about life and philosophy.

"What's in It for Me?" is the factor that a customer looks for before making a purchase decision. The usability factor can be rational or emotion – but customer has to see it. The need is obvious, but the question is how do we do it. The answer lies in understanding BJ Fogg's behavior model. In a nutshell, three factors have to come together for users to show any desired behavior: motivation to do something, ability to do it and a well-placed trigger that offers them the moment of converting potential into kinetic interaction.
